The three best giant slalom athletes of the world made it on the podium on the challenging chuenisbärgli course at Adelboden. Marcel Hirscher takes his 51st World Cup win ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen and Alexis Pinturault.
The slalom season is in full swing in January, with the 5th race of the season being held on the traditional Chuenisbärgli in Adelboden.
The legendary Chuenisbärgli has a new champion! Alexis Pinturault won the Giant Slalom in Adelboden, after a very exciting second run where he beat out his main challenger Marcel Hirscher by +0.04 and Austria’s Philipp Schoerghofer.
Italian Stefano Gross tackled the bumpy and ratty course the best and to claim his first ever World Cup victory.
Marcel Hirscher was able to make the most out of his early start number and grasp the lead of the 1st run of the Adelboden giant slalom, the first of 2015.
