O. Bertrand (FRA) operated on and absent for three months
Absent for the season opener in Soelden because of a sore right shin, Olivia Bertrand decided to have surgery. The pain experienced since the summer and during the stay in Ushuaia became too large to achieve a decent return on the World Cup circuit. The intervention took place on Monday and was successful. The skier from Morzine, marked by injuries in the past two seasons, will therefore again have to be patient, her return on skis being is planned in three months. Olivia Bertrand has two 12th places in the World Cup, both in giant slalom. Once she placed 12th in Cortina d'Ampezzo in January 2009 and repeated the result last November in Aspen.
