Ingrid Jacquemod has decided to put an end to her 15-year career.

"It is not possible to lie to yourself if you want to meet the expectations of professional sport. And I noticed that I should turn my back to competitive sport," said the 32-year-old from Val d'Isère.

Ingrid Jacquemod collected six World Cup podium finishes in her career. Her only victory came in the downhill in Santa Caterina (ITA) in 2005. Her best result at a title event was the 5th place finish in the World Championship downhill in Bormio in 2005. She had great success at the Junior World Ski Championships in 1997 (silver) and 1998 (gold).
