The 32-year-old Swiss speed athlete Fabienne Suter retires from ski racing after fifteen years on the World Cup circuit.

"Suddenly you know it’s time to start something new. Even if these 15 years on the World Cup were not always easy, I take so many positives memories, emotions and nice people with me in this new chapter of my life.”

Suter can look back on a very successful career, with 20 World Cup podium placements and four victories, one in downhill in Bansko in 2009 and the others in super-g in Sestrière 2008, Bormio 2008 and Bad Kleinkirchheim 2012. She also participated in six World Championships and two Olympic Games. But what stands out for her is something else: “To claim the second place of the downhill ranking in 2015/16 and collect the medal at the World Cup Finals in St. Moritz was the highlight of my career.”

We wish Fabienne Suter all the best for the next steps in her life, starting right now at home in zentral Switzerland.
