Kitzbuehel, Austria – The warm weather keep troubling the Kitzbuehel OC and what was only announced as a possibility at last night’s Team Captains Meeting proved to be the only reasonable decision on Wednesday morning.

The Jury’s predictions proved true when a first inspection of the course was conducted this morning at 7 am. A very small group, consisting of only OC and FIS representatives, the TD and the two connection coaches inspected the hill prior to the Jury Inspection which was scheduled for 9am and announced that due to the lack of cold temperatures and the present critical snow conditions, today's DH would be canceled.

“Conditions are very good in the upper section but you can feel where the fog was sitting over the night. In those sections the snow didn’t freeze and conditions in the lower section would not allow a training run,” FIS Chief Race Director Guenter Hujara said of the cancellation.

After a lengthy meeting this morning, the Jury has confirmed that due to the forecast for the next days the racing schedule will be changed to the following:

Friday, January 24th - Slalom (start times TBC)

Saturday, January 25th - Downhill (start times TBC)

Sunday, january 26th - Kitzbuehel Combined, super-G and Slalom (start times TBC)
