She might be used to always standing on the podium, but this week reigning World Championship slalom gold medalist and Slalom World Cup champion Mikaela Shiffrin was the one handing out an award to Janier Alexis Acevedo, winner of Stage 4 of the 2013 USA Pro Challenge in Beaver Creek, Colo.

Referred to as “America’s Race,” the USA Pro Challenge took place August 19-25, traveling through eight host cities from Aspen to Denver. Featuring a challenging, 599-mile course, the third annual race showcased the best of the best in professional cycling and some of America’s most beautiful scenery.

Mikaela presented Acevedo with a lifetime Vail Resorts Epic Pass, a one-of-a-kind Ski Pass which provides a lifetime of skiing privileges at 18 iconic mountains in three countries, featuring unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Eldora in Colorado; Canyons in Park City, Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Lake Tahoe; Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mt.
