The two Swiss speed racers Marc Gisin and Patrick Küng have returned on snow after their knee injuries. Both were injured at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup events on home snow in Crans-Montana, with each sustaining an ACL tear in the left knee. Since they belong to the same training group, the two racers could do their rehab together, and now returned on skis at the same time last week.

Both Gisin and Küng were excited to be back on the snow. “Skiing in Zermatt…..Feels great!!!!“ said Patrick whilst Marc was thrilled: "Boooom!!! What a feeling to be back on snow! Knee is perfect! Love it!!!“

Roland Platzer, coach of the World Cup 1 training goup was happy to welcome the athletes back. Even if they cannot yet do the normal ski trainings, the group is slowly returning to its former strength. Oftentimes during the summer only half of Platzer’s six athletes were able to train the full program. Besides Küng and Gisin, Vitus Lüönd too is re-convalescent after his knee injury in April.
