Dear Skifans, as of this weekend we are bringing a second Anna on board at Anna Goodman, the former Alpine Canada slalom specialist, who retired form the World Cup Tour at the end of last season will be reporting for us starting next weekend from the ladies’ races in Aspen and Lake Louise.

Anna, who competed in 43 Word Cup races during her seven years on Tour, will continue to compete as a member of the Westminister College Ski Team in the upcoming seasons.

With a ninth place in the slalom in Are (SWE) in 2009 as her career’s best and a 19th place from her home Olympics in Vancouver when due to a torn ACL it was questionable whether she would even be able to compete, Anna retired in good spirits and ready for whichever new adventures life would bring.

"Ski racing was, and continues to be, a huge part of my life.  Since retiring from the Canadian Ski Team I have coached a few summer ski camps, created a girls ski camp with fellow Canadian Olympian Shona Rubens, started my college education, and joined the Westminster Ski Team. I am still very connected with the ski racing world and I think that I always will be. The transition from racer to reporter for is an opportunity that I am excited to embrace!”

We at are looking forward to welcoming her and reading her insightful reports from a Tour she came to know inside out over the years.

Anna will be with us when the ladies’ North American races return to Aspen, Colorado (USA) for the women's giant slalom and slalom from 26th-27th November and will continue onto the ladies' speed opening races in Lake Louise (CAN).
