The Internet portal Sudtirolski.com reported on Thursday that Italian skier Manuela Moelgg suffered a further seatback in preparing for the upcoming Olympic season. After attempting to solve a problematic right knee with various therapies, and not seeing greater improvement Moelgg underwent surgery on Monday. After consulting with the Mediacal Commission of the Italian Federation an arthroscopic surgery to fix a cartilage injury was performed in the Sports Clinic in Innsbruck (AUT) under the direction of Dr. med Christian Fink. According to the medical team the surgery went very well and the rehab process has already begun.

We all wish Manuela a quick recovery and to see her back on the slopes as soon as possible.
