Mario Scheiber back on snow
Mario Scheiber (AUT) is finally back on snow. After his sincere crash during training in Chamonix last winter where he broke his nose and collarbone, Scheiber has successfully started his training on snow again, 6 months after the accident.
Scheiber trained for the first time on the glacier in Hintertux yesterday with the men's group trainer, Andreas Evers.
"I'm doing great. In terms of endurance I'm better than I ever was before. I feel really good. The first few days on snow are of course a bit strange, because the physical training has a different strain than skiing. I can feel it a bit in my knee, but is not problematic, I'm used to it from the past few years" Scheiber said.
The Austrian speed specialist travels to Portillo, Chile on 18 August with his teammates.
