Max Blardone signs with Elan
Slovenian ski manufacturer Elan has reached an agreement with 34-year-old Italian ski racer Massimiliano Blardone, to be his exclusive supplier of World Cup skis and service over the next two seasons. Elan seems determined to return to the top of the World Cup podium where both Elan and Blardone used to be in the past.
Blardone has achieved an impressive 7 World Cup victories and 24 podiums in total during his career and has been competing on Dynastar in recent years.
“Elan convinced me with competitive skis, professional approach, great R&D support and know-how of service-men. I am motivated and determined to come where I used to be and that means in the game for podium positions on the World Cup,” Blardone said after concluding the on-snow tests in Santa Caterina and Livigno.
“We are extremely happy that Max is satisfied with the ski tests and that our new GS skis are performing great. We will put all our efforts into providing him best product and service,” Blaž Lazar who took over International racing management at Elan in February of this year said.
Elan will provide company service-man Dušan Kapš from Slovenia, who has more than 25 years of experience in the World Cup circut, servicing racers such as Jure Košir and Martina Ertl.
