Salomon Racing Team, which finished the 2011/12 season as the best brand among the men and as number two behind Head overall has announced the addition of Marc Berthod to its team from next season.

Berthod joins a number of his Swiss teammates including Patrick Küng, Sandro Viletta and Vitus Lüönd. No longer as part of the team is Beat Feuz who swapped Salomon for Head in the spring. Küng, a Salomon racer since four years, has prolonged his contract for another two years, as has Lüönd. Berthod, previously on Rossignol, will be using the entire package of Salomon equipment from skis to boots and bindings. After a difficult season, Marc Berthod hopes that the equipment change enables him a comeback to the top level. Berthod will share the service man Bruno Inniger with Viletta whilst Küng will continue to work with his personal service man Franz Nadig.

Besides the young Swiss team, Salomon will continue to build on the strong Austrians Klaus Kröll and Hannes Reichelt, as well as the French shooting star Alexis Pinturault along with Frenchmen Adrien Theaux and Steve Missillier. On the ladies’ side, Salomon equips the Slovakian slalom specialist Veronika Zuzulova, Italian speed specialist Daniela Merighetti and French slalom skier Nastasia Noens.
