Sandell and Torsti join Nordica Racing Team
The Italian brand Nordica announced two additions to their international racing team which already features Felix Neureuther, Fritz Dopfer, Dominik Paris, Reto Schmidinger and Linus Strasser.
Equipped with two-year-contracts each, Finnish athletes Marcus Sandell and Samu Torsti now complete the Nordica team, supporting Nordica’s ambitions towards the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang.
Bernhard Knauss, head of Nordica Racing is excited about the two new additions, as he comments on the company’s website: „We have ambitious goals for the 2018 Olympics. We are already starting to build the foundation for our success now. I am happy that we were able to convince Samu, a talented young man, as well as Marcus, an experienced skier with a lot of routine. Both of them have recently showed that they are in very good shape and the first equipment tests were very promising.“
Along with the two new athletes, Nordica also confirmed the plan to remain in racing in the long run. „For us, racing belongs in our brand core. Thus, it is extremely important to form long-term collaborations with excellent athletes in this area.“, Brand Manager Luka Grilc explains.
