Schild and Raich stick to Atomic
Mr. & Mrs. Atomic stay! Benjamin Raich and Marlies Schild have prolonged their cooperation with Atomic until 2014. Two exceptional athletes, and two extraordinary years with remarkable highlights – the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2013 in Schladming and the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi.
He: 36 World Cup victories; she: 35. He: double Olympic winner, triple World Champion, winner of the overall World Cup; she: triple medal winner at the Olympic Games, reigning slalom World Champion, four-time winner of the slalom World Cup. And all of this happened with Atomic as partner.
“It is a very successful cooperation with a lot of potential, this is why we’ve decided to prolong it,“ Benjamin Raich explained. His partner Marlies Schild added, “Atomic works just as hard on the success as I do. All of us are full of enthusiasm for this wonderful sport.“
Atomic's Racing Director Rudi Huber is happy about the continuing cooperation, “Marlies Schild is a serial winner, she is a leader in ladies’ skiing, she is an icon for Atomic and contributes her unique know-how to the development of material. Just like Benjamin Raich, who is Mr. Atomic for me. And he’s still full of plans and ambitions.”
After his first super-G victory last season and his best result in downhill (5th place) on the World Championships slope in Schladming, Raich is working on his goal of winning a downhill.
Bernadette Schild (22) also prolonged her cooperation with Atomic until 2014. Huber, “Bernie is the number 2 in slalom and giant slalom in her age group. She’s on her way to live up to her tremendous potential.”
