Season over for Justin Murisier
One of the biggest Swiss ski racing talents Justin Murisier (19) has sustained a tear on his right ACL and will miss the upcoming season 2011/12. The young slalom and giant slalom talent injured himself playing football at the team's training camp on Tuesday in Zermatt (SUI). He will be operated on Wednesday but will need several months to recovery which means that he is out for the season before it even began.
Murisier won his first World Cup points last season after ranking 8th in the slalom in Val d’Isère. He also won two silver and one bronze medals at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in Crans-Montana. At the World Championships 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, he finished 13th in the giant slalom.
