As the Swedish Ski Association reports, Slalom specialist Matts Olsson had to quit the training camp in Ushuaia, Argentine due to an injury to his right knee sustained in a training run. After first examinations, Olsson has a bone bruise and travelled to Sweden on the past weekend for further examinations in Stockholm.

Unfortunately his injury turned out to be a torn ACL and surgery is needed which Matts will have as soon as possible and which will be undertaken at Sportmedicin Umeå by Team doctor Per Liljeholm. At the moment, the mobility in the knee is good and no swelling which will help with a fast treatment, still, this diagnosis means a break from skiing for the full upcoming season.

Over and out Ushuaia! (You didn't treat me good at all) Let's hope for a speedy recovery could use a few more turns before Sölden
