The nasty weather did nothing to decrease the success of the sixth edition of the Swiss-Ski Golf Trophy. Despite the rain, the tournament on the golf course at Sempachersee in Hildisrieden/LU raised whopping 90'000 Swiss francs for young Swiss ski talents - a new record!

The rain was partially so heavy that the tournament had to be interrupted and parts of the idyllic golf course ressembled more a pond than a top notch course. But the 90 players did not let themselves be held back by the weather gods.

The win of the tournament went to the Team Bruno Kernen I and not far behind was the Team Didier Cuche. Cuche did not want to comment whether he has been concentrating on becoming a better golfer in his increased free time: "I admit I have spent more time on golfing than in the past years but my handicap has not improved as a result."

Swiss-Ski Director Andreas Wenger was satisfied with the result of the tournament: "Altogether the event raised 90‘000 Francs. The entire sum will go to benefit the young Swiss ski talents."

Besides Cuche, Swiss ski racers playing included Patrick Küng, Didier Defago, Dominique Gisin and Fränzi Aufdenblatten.
