The 34-year-old Swiss ski racer Tobias Grünenfelder, the super-G winner in Lake Louise in November 2010, has finally announced that he has found a new ski partner in Atomic and will continue his career. After several seasons with the Swiss brand Stöckli who chose not to prolong the agreement, Grünenfelder was having difficulty finding a ski firm willing to equip him. Last season Grünenfelder’s best results were 14th in Beaver Creek super-G and 19th in the first super-G in Crans-Montana.

Grünenfelder wrote on his home page that he is as of now part of the Atomic Racing Team, and is happy to “rely on the support of one of the best and most successful ski companies of the last several years.” He looks forward to testing the new material as soon as possible and is excited about the new challenge. Grünenfelder plans to return on snow in mid-July.

Grünenfelder was relegated by Swiss-Ski from the National Team to the B-Team after the not-so-successful 2011/12 season.
