Update Max Franz
The Austrian Ski Association has provided an update on the situation with the young racer Max Franz who crashed in the super-G race in Beaver Creek on Saturday.
After his crash, Franz was transported to the Vail Valley Medical Center for detailed examination.
"Max sustained a severe concussion, a broken nose, a cut on the bridge of his nose and scratches in his face. He had to remain in the hospital overnight for observation,“ said ÖSV team doctor Alexandra Reimann.
Further examinations are planned on Sunday and the 23-year-old wil be able to leave the hospital and begin journey home to Austria depending on the results and the neurological findings.
