Urs Imboden retires

Urs Imboden, the Swiss slalom specialist that has competed for Moldova since being dropped from Swiss-Ski teams in 2006, has retired at the age of 36. Imboden will stay associated with ski racing, as he will be coaching for the Davos ski high school from 1st August.

Imboden's best results included 5th place in slalom at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games as well as a 5th place finish in the World Cup slalom in Park City (USA). At the World Championships he collected 11th (Are 2007), 9th (Val d'Isère 2009) and 14th (2011 Garmisch-Partenkirchen) places.
