In mid March, Kikkan Randall asked Aino Kaiso Saarinen if she was interested in coming over to Alaska for a training camp in the summer. After the season they finalized all the details and set a date to train together two weeks in June.

This Tuesday Saarinen flew over to Alaska and after having a rest, she carried out the first jog and strength training with Kikkan Randall and Jessica Diggins in the evening.

Aino Kaisa Saarinen, the queen of FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec will stay with Kikkan Randall for the next three weeks.  “She’s the multiple world champion, Olympic medalist and one of the better technical skiers out there,” Randall added. “I’m looking forward to … seeing what I can pick up, and hopefully she can learn a little from us, too,” Kikkan Randall said to www.fasterskier.com
