Anders Södergen continues to show great pre-season shape. Last weekend Södergren won in a class of his own 9 km long Åre Trail Run.

Åre Trail Run is a new open running competition. Like its older brother Åre Cross-Country Open it starts in  Björnen and finishes at the hotel Copperhill Mountain Lodge. The trail running competition is by four kilometres shorter but for the last 6.5 km follows the same course as in the winter.

Södergren stopped the clock in 37:39.0 and edged out with a clear margin the runner up Oskar Kardin as Jonathan Thoresson finished in third. FIS Sprint World Cup winner 2011/12 Theodor Petterson

took fourth.

The initiator of the competition Matthias Fredriksson finished in 8th place, +4:48 sec behind his former teammate and training buddy Södergren.  You can read an interview with Fredriksson HERE.

Best lady of the race was Ida  Nilsson ahead of Laila Kveli and Frida Hallquist.
