The Olympic and FIS Tour de Ski champion Charlotte Kalla is going to be working much more closely with her personal coach Magnuss Ingesson during the upcoming winter.

Magnuss Ingesson was the head coach of the Swedish Cross-Country team for three years and stepped down after the 2009/10 season to have more time with the family.

Charllotte Kalla has been working Ingesson before and expressed her determination to continue with the cooperation. Ingesson also has a partnership with Kalla’s home club Piteå Elit.

After a few season spent in the back Ingesson is going to have a more prominent role and plans to attend several training camps and competitions.

“I believe the cooperation with Magnus and me has been very successful,” Charlotte Kalla said to Exressen. “Our cooperation is not to be blamed for the results I had last winter,” Kalla said.

Charlotte Kalla is going to defend the Olympic gold medal in 10 km free. “The level of the ladies is completely different from it was in 2010 when I won the Olympic gold in Vancouver. There are many athletes with a very high capacity today,” Kalla explained.
