Dario Cologna won Nordic Weekend at Andermatt
Dario Cologna is in a very good summer shape as he dominated three days of competitions as part of the Swiss Ski Nordic Weekend at Andermatt. The competitions were carried in the format of a "mini-tour" and featured sprint skating prologue on Friday, classical mass starts distance race on Friday and cross-country running uphill competition.
Dario Cologna took over the overall lead after the second stage, the classical roller skiing competition. Cologna edged out Curdin Perl by eight seconds. The winner of Friday's prologue Jonas Baumann was left behind in third place with 40 seconds gap on Cologna.
In the final stage Cologna controlled the competition and came home as the overall winner of the "mini-tour". Jonas Baumann took second place in the overall standing as Candide Pralong finished third.
On the ladies' side Doris Trachsel took the overall win ahead of Ursina Badillati and Jéromine Mercier.
Swiss Ski Waxing Truck
During the Nordic Weekend Swiss Ski also presented their brand new waxing truck. Besides Norway and Sweden now also Dario Cologna and his compatriots will be benefit from the mobile, high level waxing facility.
