Fessel and Legkov are in the best summer shape
Nicole Fessel and Alexander Legkov seem to be in the best summer shape, based on the central performance tests of German Ski Federation, which took place last weekend in Oberhof.
Both Fessel and Legkov have a score two out of three, two wins from three competitions. Fessel won the opening classic sprint in the Oberhof ski hall on Friday and the roller skiing competition on Sunday. Legkov was the quickest in Saturday's cross-country running competition and on Sunday on roller skis. At the of the day Franz Göring was the best German in second place, +41 sec back. Sebastian Eisenlauer passed by Jens Filbrich and took third place.
Nicole Fessel opened the performance tests with a win in Friday's classic sprint. On Sunday she finished the 11,2 km long roller skiing competition in the best time +17 sec ahead of the second place and runner up Denise Herrmann. Monique Siegel lost another 16 seconds and took third place. Claudia Nystad can be satisfied with a successful 4th place and +37 seconds on the winner.
