FIS Rollerski World Cup went underway in Sollefteå (SWE)
On Friday morning the FIS Rollerski World Cup started in Sollefteå (SWE) with a free technique city sprint. It was a big day for Russian athletes as Ulyana Gavrilova led the team and claimed victory ahead of compatriot Anastasia Voronina. Sweden’s Linn Somskär debuted in the Rollerski World Cup a few weeks ago and powered to the third place yesterday.
Emauele Becchis of Italy dominated the men’s sprint A Final and edged out to second place France’s Igor Cuny. Alessio Berlanda of Italy completed the podium in third place.
Lisa Bolzan (ITA) won junior ladies competition before Olga Letucheva (RUS) and Anna Bolzan (ITA). Men’s junior victory went to Vitaliy Smirnov (RUS), Ilia Bezgin (RUS) was second and Marco Longon finished in 3rd place.
