Germany coach Jochen Behle has only two men available for upcoming World Cup weeken in La Clusaz. It looks a little better with the ladies.

Axel Teichmann and Jens Filbrich have recovered from illness and resumed training but will not be at the start in France. As well Franz Goering, Tobias Angerer and Tom Reichelt will skip the last World Cup before Christmas. Also Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle will sit out the races in La Clusaz in order to get ready for Tour de Ski. "Unfortunately we arrived in La Clusaz with weakened team. We have to make the best out of the situation," commented Germany's national coach Jochen Behle.

Nicole Fessel is currently the best German lady in the current World Cup ranking and leads the ladies' squad on 5th. After tough program she has had since the season kick off she decided to take a competition break and will race only in Sunday's relay. The same program applies to Denise Herrmann.

Only Steffi Böhler and Kathrin Zeller will run the whole La Clusaz' racing program. "It is now important that our athletes that are or have been ill recover in upcoming days to get ready for races after Christmas," concluded Behle.
