Therese Johaug started today's 10 km pursuit start competition with a 15 second lead over Marit Bjoergen in the World Cup finals mini-tour.  Whoever crossed the finish line first would not only win the mini-tour but also clinch the Overall World Cup trophy.  Johaug not only hung on to the yellow bib but extended her lead to +29.2 seconds over Bjoergen to take her first ever Crystal globe as the Overall World Cup champion.

Heidi Weng completed a Norwegian sweep of the mini-tour podium by out sprinting Finland's Kerttu Niskanen on the finishing stretch.  With fourth place today Niskanen jumped ahead of the USA's Kikkan Randall for 5th on the Overall World Cup standings.  Despite withdrawing from the mini-tour due to post-concussion symptoms Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen of Norway remained in third place in the Overall standings.  This is the first time since Russia in the 1994-95 season that one country sweeps the final Overall standings top 3.

Therese Johaug NOR
Winning the World Cup Overall has been a dream for me since I was little.
This was one of my best races of the season. Today I really felt that I was in perfect shape.  I could just push all the way. I had absolutely great skis, everything worked out just fine.

Marit Bjørgen NOR
I tried to catch Therese but she was very strong the whole way today. I would have had to skied better yesterday to be able to do something about the result today. I am very happy for Therese.
