Kerttu Niskanen (FIN)

Three years ago I won a medal at Junior World Champs as well. This season was very difficult for me. I performed quite well at the end of the last season But I was ill most of the fall for 11 weeks and I could not train optimally. Even today during the race I did not feel extremely well. Therefore I am very happy about my victory.

Alevtina Tanygina (RUS)

Its my first time at World Championships and I won medal. I could not wish more. My tactic was quite good as I wanted to keep stable pace from the start to finish.

Svetlana Nikolaeva (RUS)

I started very fast. I am very happy for my third place. Course was very tough and conditions were challenging. I did not follow how the others were racing I just focused on my performance and wanted to go as fast as possible. We like very much these conditions. It is our advantage compared to other teams as we are used to training and competing in this weather.
