This summer health problems of Kristin Steira are well known. Steira now seems to be on a good track and came back to regular training with the Norwegian team.

Olympic champion from the relay admits that this off-season was very tough for her. "My mood went up and down. It is clear that it was not an easy period for me" said Steira to VG Nett. Due to the leg injury Steira had to find alternative ways of summer training. Running in water, MTB workouts and strength trainings were on the schedule.

No wonder that Steira is looking forward to rejoining with her team mates on the glacier in Val Senales. " I am very excited about what shape I am in after having alternative summer and autumn. It has been a long time since I trained in the thin air. I have trained well in recent weeks, so I think I've come up a little in the form curve, and can carry out plenty of exercises" writes Steira on her blog.

Kristin Steira has always been one of Norway's biggest medal hopes at the World Championships in Oslo next year and she has almost become "world champion" in fourth places. "I have been close to gold many times, "says Steira who suffered from a bad finish in mass start races, but who is a talented all-rounder in both classical and free technique. "Now she needs time to find ą World Champs shape "concluded the Norwegian ladies' coach Egil Kristiansen VG Nett.
