Czech ace Lukas Bauer is unlikely to start in the upcoming World Cup event in Jakuszyce, Poland. Bauer did not start on Sunday in the 4x10 km relay in Nove Mesto and on Monday he was checked by the specialist Dr. Kolar. "No sport until Wednesday," Bauer wrote on his twitter on Monday.

Bauer has been coping two weeks with bruised heel. "It's hard to say what the problem is actually. It's combination of heel overload and cold. It's not a big deal for a normal person but for a professional skier it's very uncomfortable," Czech team doctor Koldovsky explains.

First ever FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Poland kicks off on Friday with free technique sprint and Saturday is featuring Bauer's favorite 15 km Classic. "Even though it's my favorite distance and technique my foot has priority. It's not like last weekend at the home World Cup," Bauer said. "I want to be read for the Scandinavian Tour," he concluded.
