The podium streak for the French men's team continues with Maurice Manificat's victory in the 15 km free technique interval start competition in Nove Mesto, Czech.  It is the third consecutive podium for the team after taking 4 of 6 possible podium positions in Planica, Slovenia last weekend.  It was Manificat's third podium of the season and his first win since the 30 km free in Davos in December 2013.  Like the ladies' competition earlier in the day it was again a tighter podium than seen most of the season.

Overall World Cup leader Martin Johnsrud Sundby of Norway was second +10.8 seconds off the winning time of 34:04.9. In third was Russia's Sergey Ustiugov +13.0 back, continuing his strong distance performances this season and currently sits in 4th in the overall World Cup standings and 5th in the sprint standings.

Again similar to the ladies' final results it sets up a potentially very exciting men's team relay tomorrow.  Russia had 4 in the top 11, France had 3 in the top 13 and Norway had 4 in the top 16.  The men will compete in the 4 x 7.5 km relay at 12:00 CET tomorrow 24 January 2016.  The ladies' will compete at 10:30 CET.

Maurice Manificat, FRA
I was focused on this weekend. There are not many 15 km Free technique in the World Cup calendar. I knew Martin was a favorite but I was ready to fight. I had excellent skis. I am very happy for the first victory of the season. I had the advantage of starting behind Martin to get all the times. I know that when I am in the best shape I can ski like today.

Martin Johnsrud Sundby, NOR
I maybe was not in my top level. But Maurice is always among the best in this distance and technique. I am happy about second place today. It was very nice tracks, which feature long and short uphills as well as turns.

Sergey Ustiugov, RUS
I did not know how was my shape after the Tour. I spent several days at home in Russia. I started slower today to see how my body reacts. I was feeling better and better after every lap and in the last kilometres I was feeling ver strong. I am happy with 3rd place.
