Marcus Hellner is going to sit out this weekend's World Cup in Lahti. Sprint World Champion from Oslo is aiming for World Cup final in Stockholm and Falun.

Marcus Hellner’s compatriot Johan Olsson may also skip the World Cup weekend in Finland. “Marcus Hellner and Anders Södergren stay at home to recharge their batteries for home competitions in Stockholm and Falun,” explains coach Joakim Abrahamsson.

There are not health issues behind Hellner’s decision. The Sprint World Champion is healthy and motivated to perform well at World Cup Final and plans to move up in the overall World Cup standing.
“At the end os the season we have a mini-tour where many points are going to be distributed. We want to be ready for the World Cup Final, "said Abrahamsson.

Current number three in the Overall World Cup standing Daniel Rickardsson is lined up for races in Finland.

It remains unclear whether Johan Olsson appears in Lahti. “Yes, I do not know how it goes. Anna and I will become parents in the days and it all depends on how it goes with Anna if I'm going to Finland or not, "said Johan

Mats Larsson will also become a father, but he missed the entire World Championships because of illness.
Calle Halfvarsson is going to replace Marcus Hellner in Lahti. Johan Olsson’s substitute will be decided later.
