Ola Vigen Hattestad and Petra Majdic won classical sprint qualification in Stockholm
World Cup final kicked off this afternoon Royal Castle Sprint with qualificiation. Norway and Slovenia occupy top two places.
Petra Majdic was superior on the ladies’ side and won win in 2:29.30. Majdic’s compatriot Katja Visnar seized second place and lost on Majdic +0.5 sec. Marit Bjoergen qualified with third best time. Runner up in the Sprint World Cup standing Arianna Follis is through in 23rd place.
Among men Ola Vigen Hattestad won the qualification ahead of Petter Northug. Both Norwegians double poled the whole course. Local hero Jesper Modin pleased the crowds at the Royal Palace and finished third. Sprint World Cup winner Emil Joensson qualified in fourth fastest time.
