Olympic champion unhappy with last season

Second place in the Sprint Classic at Nordic Opening in Kussamo, sixth in Olympic sprint in Whistler, Olympic Gold Medalist from the Team Sprint Free. Øystein Pettersen thinks it could have been better.

"I hear people say that I'm Olympic champion, and that I therefore had a great season last winter. I think I had a pretty bad season"said Pettersen to Nettavisen

One may think that Olympic champion would be less critical to himself, but not "Pølsa". " I have not yet won the World Cup, and was on the podium just once last year. I raced a lot better when I was sixth in the individual sprint" he said to Norwegian newspaper. Pettersen has a clear goal ahead and he conforms to it everything. "The main objective this winter is to win the World Champs title in sprint at Holmenkollen" claims Pettersen. 

In early May Pettersen fall down of his bike and broke his wrist (read fiscrosscountry.com article HERE). Despite this complication Pettersen feels in better shape than ever. "The shape is better than this time last year. I'm stronger and I run faster "he said. Will it be enough for World Champs gold?
