Plan B for Northug after illness derails earlier altitude camp.
Norway's Petter Northug has travelled to Livigno, Italy for a late off-season altitude camp after canceling an earlier camp due to illness.
Despite canceling a pre-season altitude training camp as a result of a viral infection, Northug has returned again to altitude after showing no signs of the illness in testing, according to his coach Eirik Myhr. Myhr further explained to NRK that Northug has had many years of training at altitude and there is little concern that missing one camp will affect him negatively this season.
