The successful Fischer Racing Team has a prominent new signing to announce: triple World Champion Riitta-Liisa Roponen from Finland will in future be competing for points and medals with Fischer skis and boots.

"Riitta is really looking forward to the new start in her career," says her trainer. In this brief interview the winner of the bronze medal in the relay at the Oslo World Championships speaks about the reasons behind her making the change.

Fischer: What was the reason for you to change to Fischer skis and boots?

Riitta-Liisa Roponen: I have only three years left in my career and would like to work with Fischer during these years. Fischer has done an extremely good job with athletes at the top level and I would like to be part of this group. For sure I also heard a lot of good feedback from other Fischer athletes as well.

Fischer: What do you like most about Fischer skis and boots?

Riitta-Liisa Roponen: The feeling with the whole package is great. I did not have any problems to change the system, binding system included. Skiing just feels natural to me. Technique is one of my strong points and I am sure that this feeling helps me to get the best in terms of shape and body.

Fischer: What are your targets for the upcoming season with new material?

Riitta-Liisa Roponen: I hope the new material will help me to reach my goals in the next years: to be one of the best skiers in the world. During the first year I have to do a lot of testing and work together with the service men and Fischer to find the right skis for the different conditions for me. I am very confident about the future and I am looking forward to the new season.
