Russian sprinters are ready for the racing weekend in Milano

Russian sprint specialist Alexey Petukhov is the biggest star of the Russian roster for the upcoming sprint racing weekend in Milano.

Petukhov is the current Sprint World Cup leader with 320 points. Sweden's Teodor Peterson is second with 261 points and FIS Tour de Ski winner Dario Cologna is third. Petukhov has scored a podium in every sprint and team sprint this season he has taken part in. Second places in individual free technique sprint and team sprint in Düsseldorf, first place in Davos, second spots in Oberstdorf and Toblach.

Yet again Petukhov will be fighting for victory in Milano having a chance to increase the lead in the Sprint Cup. On the ladies' side Natalia Matveeva has produced great results this season with second place in Düsseldorf and Davos. The 25-year old police officer from Moscow will be leading Russian ladies in Italy this weekend.
