FIS Tour de Ski 2011/12 is over but there are a lot of competitions left in the season. The city of Milano will be hosting sprint races this weekend and Sweden's team will be fighting for top results again.

Saturday is featuring individual sprint in free technique and on Sunday team sprint is going to take place. Teodor Petersson is a runner up in the current Sprint World Cup ranking 59 points behind the Russian express Alexei Petukhov.

On the ladies' side it is Kikkan Randall who is leading the way. Swedish sprinters Hanna Brodin and Ida Ingemarsdotter are sitting in current 10th and 11th spots. Swedish squad will be missing in Milano Marcus Helllner anc Charlotte Kalla who are recovering after the FIS Tour de Ski. They will come back in the World Cup in Otepää on January 21-22.

Hanna Falk is another no-show in Milano due to illness. "Hanna Falk caught cold during Christmas. She has resumed training but she is not sufficiently prepared to compete with world's cross-country skiing elite," ladies' coach Rikard Grip explained.
