Tord Asle Gjerdalen was selected to run the third leg in the prestigious 4x10 km Relay tomorrow.

Men's 4x10 km relay is for Norwegian fans perhaps the most important race of the World Championships in Oslo. Actually, it is the most important race at every major event such as Olympic Games and World Championships. In tomorrow' relay the Norwegian team wants to pay back the defeat from Vancouver last year and wants to capture gold medal.

The riddle who is going to race the thir leg was solved. Tord Asle Gjerdalen got priority over Sjur Roethe. "I am very happy and honored. I know that Sjur and several others could have done a good job. I am even more determined to do a good job, "said Gjerdalen to NRK.

Before the Championships Norwegian team had used one place in the quota and nominated biathlete Emil Hegle Svendsen who could run for Norway in the relay. However, after Sjur Røthe' and Tord Asle Gjerdalen' good results in 30 km Pursuit they dismissed Svendsen who left for Biathlon World Championships in Khanty Mantsiysk.

Eldar Roenning and Martin Johnsrud Sundby will run first classical legs. Petter Northug is going to be anchor man for Norway.
