Gold medalist from Vancouver Anders Södergren came home and was warmly welcomed in his home town of Söderhamn.

"It's always nice to come home to see my family and friends. This time it felt extra nice as there were more than 1000 people in the square." says Anders Södergren on his blog. He was born here and started his cross-country skiing career: "It was in Mo, and Bergvik Söderhamn where it all began. Here I was living my first twenty years and received much help from family, coaches, teachers and other inspiring people. " Anders Södergren was greeted and welcomed by municapl authorities who appreciated Södergren's contribution in the promotion of the region and country. "It feels good to hear that I am a good ambassador for my country!" wrote happy Anders.

After a few days back home Anders Södergren returns to Swedish team. "On Tuesday the whole squad will meet in Orsa / Grönklitt. I am motivated. Championships in Oslo is already in focus. Actually, I do not mind coming back to Town Hall Square. It gave me energy!" concluded Anders Södergren his blog post.
