Happy New Year 2013!
FIS would like to extend warm wishes to all Newsflash readers for a Happy New Year with much joy in the snow and successful participation, organising and/or spectating at FIS competitions!
The New Year will see both the second half of the 2012/13 FIS World Cup season in the different disciplines, but also feature a highlight-filled calendar. In addition to the second half with two stages of the Ski Jumping Four-Hills Tournament and the FIS Tour de Ski at the very beginning of the year, the rest of the 2012/13 season will see a total of eight different FIS World Championships:
Snowboard: 18th to 27th January in Stoneham (CAN)
Alpine Skiing: 4th to 17th February in Schladming (AUT)
Nordics, Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined: 20th February to 3rd March in Val di Fiemme (ITA)
Freestyle Skiing: 5th to 10th March in Voss (NOR)
Speed Skiing: 19th to 26th January in Vars (FRA)
Telemark: 11th to 15th March in Granpallars/Espot (SPA)
FIS Junior World Championships:
Nordics, Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined: 20th to 27th January in Liberec (CZE)
Alpine Skiing: 19th to 28th February in Le Massif, Quebec (CAN)
Freestyle Skiing: 26th to 31st March in Valmalenco (ITA)
