Less than 100 days to Voss 2013

Voss 2013 reached its 100-day milestone on Sunday 25th November which will see athletes from close to 30 nations competing in the highlight event on the Freestyle Ski calendar 2012/13. More than 300 athletes are expected to determine who is best in the world of Freestyle Skiing from 5th-10th March.

After the title events in Stoneham, Schladming and Val di Fiemme, Voss 2013 will complete the list of four World Championships on the FIS calendar and all are now less than 100 days away!

In recent months, the Voss Organising Committee headed by CEO Trond Syversen has been investing major efforts into finalising preparations including overseeing the latest construction works of the four different finish areas and ensuring high quality live broadcast coverage on four continents (North America, South America, Asia and Europe).

“There will be total of four finish areas for the five title events that are part of the Championship program. This is a very complex operation, especially for the host broadcaster NRK,” commented Terje Lund, Event Manager for the Norwegian Ski Association.

As the first event of Championships, a ski halfpipe competition will be staged in Oslo’s spectacular new superpipe on 5th March. After this, the title competitions in moguls, dual moguls, aerials, ski cross and ski slopestyle will be held in Myrkdalen, 25km from the town center of Voss.
