Passing of Klaus Taglauer

FIS wishes to express its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Klaus Taglauer who passed away on 28th July at the age of 78.

The German journalist from Garmisch-Partenkirchen served as press director for the Four-Hills Tournament from 1978 until 2006. For almost three decades, he managed the needs of international journalists and brought invaluable experience to the ski family. In 2006, his achievements were recognised by the prestigious Werner Kirchofer trophy presented by the Forum Nordicum, a gathering of international Nordic ski and biathlon journalists.

This year, the international Ski Jumping family already lost Claus-Peter Horle (GER), former President of the Four-Hills-Tournament who passed away at the age of 70 in April.
