FIS and Zaugg extend partnership FIS and Zaugg AG Eggiwil, a global leader in the manufacture of snow clearing and ski-slope preparation machines, have extended their cooperation to cover the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup events during the 2011/2012 season. Under the partnership, Zaugg continues as the ‘Official FIS Snowboard Service Provider for Half-Pipe Grinders'. Through the partnership, Zaugg will continue to make available to FIS event organizers its experience and know-how in planning and building FIS Snowboard half-pipe competition sites: Zaugg will especially leverage its expertise as manufacturer of specialized snow shaping equipment and will help develop the FIS Snowboard competition venues and snow clearing and preparation techniques used in top level Snowboarding. "FIS is pleased to continue this partnership with Zaugg. Since last season, 100% of our halfpipes were built in the 22 feet size, or as so called "super-pipes". Our goal is to provide perfect pipe conditions so that the athletes have the best and safest conditions possible for their maximum performance. For us it is essential to have our partners share this goal and Zaugg is a good example of this," commented FIS Snowboard Race Director Uwe Beier. "Our cooperation is characterized by continuous exchange of knowledge and experience on both sides, focused on ongoing improvement of equipment and preparation skills." |
