New Estonian leadership visits FIS Office The new leadership team of the Estonian Ski Association paid their first official visit to the FIS Office in Oberhofen (SUI) last Thursday to meet FIS President Gian Franco Kasper and Secretary General Sarah Lewis. President Sandor Liive and Secretary General Margus Hernits recently assumed the lead in the Association. Margust Hernits began his new assignment on 28th November 2011, while Liive was appointed at the end of the June at the Association's General Assembly. One of the main topics of the discussion was the commitment of the Estonian Ski Association to participating in the FIS World Snow Day which nicely coincides with the FIS Cross-Country World Cup competitions that take place in Otepää that very weekend. A major event is planned alongside the races, whilst efforts are being made to stage special World Snow Day activities at the 48 cross-country tracks situated all over the country, that are maintained by the local authorities, floodlit and freely available to the public without charge.
