100 Days to go: World Snow Day

100 Days to go: World Snow Day

Thursday 13th October 2011 marks exactly 100 days to go until the largest winter event in the world. The FIS World Snow Day team has been working flat out to ensure that everyone from event Organizers to the participants and the general public are informed about what's in store.

Since the launch of the World Snow Day website on 1st June, the following milestones have already been recorded:

• 52 registered organisers in almost 20 different countries including Australia in the Southern hemisphere
• Launch of the World Snow Day Live profile system for each organizer to provide the latest details on their event
• Launch of the World Snow Day toolkit containing close to 20 promotional tools, with another dozen to come
• Recognition by the International Olympic Committee as well as a close relationship with the International Olympic Day
• A commitment from various broadcasters and other media outlets to support the promotion of World Snow Day

The list goes on. However, the 100 day landmark until the World Snow Day does not mark the end of the build up and the next 100 days will see some of the biggest steps being made - stay tuned! There is still time to join now, register an event and become a part of the first chapter towards building the biggest snow day in the world.
