Grass Skiing World Cup gets underway

Grass Skiing World Cup gets underway

The 2011 FIS Grass Skiing World Cup season began with the first competitions in Burbach (GER) last weekend, 28th-29th May 2011, which also served as test events for the Grass Skiing Junior World Championships there later on. The opening competition in Germany will be followed by competitions in Marbachegg (SUI) just a week later, on 4th-5th June. July and August will see Central European stops in Olesnice (CZE), Rettenbach and Nauders (both AUT) and San Sicario (ITA). The 2011 season highlight, however, will be the FIS Grass Skiing World and Junior World Championships in Goldingen (SUI) in early August 2011.

The World Cup Finals will again be staged Italy, back in Forni di Sopra in mid-September.

For the children, a four-weekend race series is on offer. After the opening in Schnorrenbach (GER) in late June, Belluno (ITA) Piestany (SVK) and Predklasteri (CZE), which will carry out the finals, will represent important season milestones in August 2010.
