Passing of Ernst Berger, renowned Masters racer

Ernst Berger one of the most committed Masters races recently passed away at the age of 93 years. Born in 1919, he started ski racing at the age of 16 and competed whenever possible since then. Since 1984, he had been competing in Masters Races and was an active participant in the oldest age category from 85 to 90 years plus. The Swiss ski legend who was known as the most active ski racer in his age group worldwide, won numerous competitions in slalom, giant slalom and super-G throughout his career and has collected more than 1000 trophies and medals. FIS would like to extend its sincere condolences to Ernst Berger’s family and friends
