SportAccord 2012: Highlighting FIS events The 10th edition of the SportAccord Convention which took place in Québec City (CAN) last week provided an excellent opportunity to promote the various FIS events that will take place in the province of Québec during the upcoming 2012/13 season. The series of top competitions in the region will begin with the first FIS Cross-Country World Cup city sprint ever staged in eastern North America as Québec City hosts a sprint weekend on 8th-9th December 2012. FIS President Gian Franco Kasper unveiled the official course for the Sprint Québec 2012 together with Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of the main sponsor Quebecor. The 800-meter track will be set just a snowball’s throw from the Québec Parliament with a spectacular backdrop of the historical building and views over the city. |
